Special Notification for KU IWC 2020-2021!
20-21 KU IWC classes are composed of both online/offline lectures in which we call these as ¡°hybrid lectures.¡± What it means, we will operate the normal (physical presence) classes on the campus so those who can come to Korea or already in the country are able to attend these classes. At the same time, the professors will conduct live-streaming of the class he/she is teaching, so those who can¡¯t come to Korea or the in-person class can participate the class in real-time. Now, you may wonder at this point, what if I can¡¯t go to Korea but have big time differences so that it¡¯s quite a non-sense to attend those live-streaming classes? Don¡¯t you worry! The professors will upload the recorded ones after the classes. Hence, you can watch those lectures on your own.
But note that, the courses entitled with ¡°Online only¡± have no physical lectures. Therefore, you only have two options for these classes: attend a live-streaming class & watch a recorded lecture.

|
Each class is worth 3 credits.
Students can take up to a maximum of three courses.
Classes are held from Monday to Friday. (Please note that there will be a class on January, 2 Saturday)
No prior knowledge of Korean is necessary for enrollment and the medium of instruction for all courses is English (except for Korean language classes).
Final enrollment of Korean language course will be determined based on the result of Korean Language Placement Test. Hence, your choice of Korean language course level can be changed.

¡Ø Course lists and faculties are subjected to change.
¡Ø Course lists for KU IWC 2020-2021 will be updated soon.
|
Grading Policies |
The student's academic performance is assessed according to four different criteria: exams, assignments, attendance, and class participation. Generally, course performance is graded on the following 100-point scale:
|
|
¡Ø Grading at IWC is based on an absolute assessment system.
¡Ø Please note, for transfer credit, passing grades may vary from institutions.
|
Credit Transferability |
Students who wish to transfer KU IWC program credits are advised to consult with the appropriate academic authorities at their home institution in advance. The home institution's academic advisors decide whether a particular IWC course may be applied towards the major or elective requirement. Students usually refer to the uploaded syllabus on the IWC course list to determine credit transferability to their home institution. If you have any questions, please contact us at kuwinter@korea.ac.kr.
|
Transcripts |
Once the confirmation period for final grades is over, KU IWC transcript will be sent to students in late February. It will take up to a week for Korean domestic addresses and 3 weeks for overseas addresses. If you need extra copies, please email us at kuwinter@korea.ac.kr. There will be additional charges for DHL or FedEx Services.
Students must confirm their transcript address before the program ends. If you wish to change the address, please do so at the view/change application page.
|
¡Ø Audit is not allowed under any circumstances.
